Those Crazy Kids!

My daughter had a slumber party last night. They were up until 3:30! But they had fun. They also put together their own comedic skit and asked us to video it. Sooooo, being the kind and compassionate father that I am, caring for my children's ever-changing self-esteem, I'm posting the video on the internet.

Enjoy!

Haha! Many thoughts came to mind:
1 - Woohoo! I'm glad Ashton has made some neat friends!
2 - Man...do I really want to have children?
3 - This is impressive...and long...poor Paul & Laurie...because I'm sure it was rehearsed MANY times before recording.
4 - Note to self: Children not allowed to have slumber parties no matter how uncool that makes me
5 - So this is what my class does over the weekend?
6 - What a good audience Seth is chillin in the chair...and Holly too.
7 - Ashton is old enough to be using the word boyfriend?!?!?!?!
8 - Must have boys.
Ok...I think that is it.
Love you guys!!!

Oh my gosh. Is this Ashton's first JH sleepover & last JH sleepover? I think you should made them continue with the Indian theme and sleep outside in teepees with the coyotes~that's where I would have put them at 3:30 AM. Looks like they had tons of fun. 6 JH girls~ARE YOU CRAZY? Clearly you never coached/taught JH kids or you would have thought this through a little better. I don't know who to feel more sorry for...y'all or Seth! I am agreeing with Emily on this boyfriend thing, is she old enough? And are they old enough to even really appreciate the SNL Cheerleaders, I think not. I still remember being home at 11 on Saturdays just to watch the cheerleaders! Needless to say I am sure you are rehearsing this skit in your sleep. I am excited to see y'all at Christmas, I am betting we can come up with some pretty funny skits...maybe through a little karaoke or guitar hero in! Love you & miss you! Hope you have your sanity back!

Paul & Laurie - God really is shining down on you. It takes "real parents" to let your children have slumber parties (especially junior high girls)! Ah, the days... haha! It is SOOO quiet at my house!

Now you understand why I did NOT like teaching junior high!!! The only thing worse was elementary! Tell Seth that he was a real "man" to put up with all those girls! At least they can't drive yet! That will bring on a whole new meaning to teenagers! Laurie, do I need to get out the red wagon and riding lawnmower??? Save me a 3 liter Dr. Pepper bottle (and flashlight) for the taillight!

I'm sorry! May God give you strength. I don't think you can handle this on your own.
